If you are enrolled in a program with automatic smart charging with your vehicle, we recommend removing schedules or timers in your home charging stations and equipment, as these may interfere with the schedules WeaveGrid creates.
If you are enrolled in a program with automatic smart charging with your home charging station, WeaveGrid works by setting daily charging schedules for your vehicle through your charger.
Based on your daily mileage needs and charging speed, our algorithms determine when the charging should begin such that your target battery level is reached ahead of the ‘Charge Departure Time’ you’ve set in your WeaveGrid dashboard settings.
For ChargePoint chargers, please remember to remove any existing schedules. If a schedule already exists, WeaveGrid will not be able to create a customized charging plan on time. When you plug in, you'll see a "Utility Event" created and toggled on by WeaveGrid in your ChargePoint app. This is normal and by design - it prevents immediate charging so WeaveGrid can create your optimized schedule. Please do not toggle the event off, as this will interfere with WeaveGrid's ability to manage your charging. WeaveGrid will automatically update your schedule once it's been created.
For Wallbox chargers, please remember to remove any existing schedules. If a schedule already exists, WeaveGrid will not be able to create a customized charging plan on time.
For Emporia chargers, you will not be able to set any charging schedules on your Emporia directly.
